Chin straps are not suitable for treating all types of snoring issues. They can only reduce snoring levels in mouth snorers. Individuals who suffer from conditions that prevent normal nasal breathing should not use chin straps due to potentially life-threatening consequences.

The anti-snoring chin straps currently available on the market range from overpriced, useless, and not-so-pretty headbands to extremely effective anti-snoring solutions. What makes it particularly difficult to choose the right chin strap is the fact that most chin straps look almost exactly the same. We would like to say that SnoreTek Chin Strap is an exception to this rule, but unfortunately, that is not the case. In this SnoreTek review, we look beyond its ordinary appearance and conduct a thorough analysis of this snoring aid in order to provide an accurate assessment of its effectiveness.

This product is ranked #3 on our Best Anti-Snoring Chin Straps list.

What Is SnoreTek Chin Strap?

SnoreTek Chin Strap is a band made of soft fabric, with adjustable Velcro straps that allow you to modify the length of the strap so it perfectly fits your head shape and size. The strap keeps your mouth closed during sleep and prevents your lower jaw from shifting backward. That way, it allows for unobstructed oral airflow and effectively eliminates snoring.

The strap is designed to be used both independently and in addition to other aids used to prevent snoring or treat sleep apnea. For example, it successfully prevents stomach bloating and dry mouth caused by the use of a CPAP machine and it can also keep anti-snoring mouthpieces in place, thus maximizing their effectiveness.

How Is It Different?

While its design is perfectly ordinary and its mechanism of action closely resembles that of other chin straps, what makes this anti-snoring chin strap unique is the fact that it is also designed to complement other aids, as we mentioned in the previous section of this SnoreTek Chin Strap review. That way, it does not compete with other solutions on the market but instead boasts incredible versatility that broadens the range of its potential uses and thus allows it to appeal to a larger number of snorers and people who suffer from sleep apnea.

SnoreTek Chin Strap How Is It Different

The strap is durable and comfortable and due to its adjustability, it can be worn by nearly all snorers without any diminishment in its effectiveness. It is easy to use, easy to clean, and does not lose its elasticity for a long time, even with frequent washes and readjustments.

User Experience

SnoreTek Chin Strap User Experience

We tested SnoreTek Chin Strap on its own, as well as in combination with three different mouthpieces and a CPAP machine. The strap worked exactly as expected and proved to be effective in all scenarios. The participants in our tests found the strap to be surprisingly comfortable, particularly due to the additional layer of netting material in the chin area, which prevents any potential soreness.

None of our participants had any troubles fitting the strap and found the fitting instructions provided by the manufacturer to be simple and clear. Most importantly, the majority of them stated that they stopped snoring as soon as they started wearing the strap while others reported a significant reduction in snoring frequency and loudness. We would like to emphasize that our participants did not have any problems breathing through the nose, which allowed them to use the strap. If you are having troubles with nasal congestion or cannot breathe through your nose for any other reason, you should not use this or any other strap, as mouth breathing is not an option with these snoring aids.

Price

SnoreTek Chin Strap costs $38.90, with shipping included, which is rather affordable. The product comes with a 90-day money back guarantee, which gives you plenty of time to decide whether you want to keep the strap or return it and get a refund. Keep in mind that the shipping and processing fee included in the price, which amounts to $9.95, is non-refundable.

The construction is very good and the material is pretty solid. there’s nothing worse than when you buy a low quality product and you see pop seems the moment you unpack it. There’s not much science to this chinstrap, what you see is what you get. It’s a piece of cloth that goes around your head and keeps your mouth closed during the night. Why complicate things when you can keep them simple. It works exactly as described and it’s well worth the money invested.

My snoring problems got worse with age. I’m currently 64 and I’ve become immune to all sorts of popular throat sprays and similar products. The idea of having a strap around my head while I sleep felt silly at first but it’s probably the only thing I haven’t tried before so I taught to myself why not? It was a bit weird at the start but I got used to it much faster than I thought I would. The fabric is pretty soft and elastic so you don’t have to worry about any size issues or irritation or whatnot. Most importantly, it finally got me breathing through my nose and allowed me to have a proper night’s sleep for the first time in many years.

We have tried 4 different straps so far and this is the only one that is both comfortable and effective. My warmest recommendations.

  4. Lisa Hoffman | August 15, 2017

Yes, it does work, but machine washing is not a good idea. I had to buy a new one after only about 10 washes.

  5. Robert Cook | June 22, 2017

There certainly is room for improvement, but it’s still among the best straps I’ve tried.

  6. Eugene Helton | June 11, 2017

I stopped snoring, but I have a big head and it doesn’t really fit as well as I’d like it to. They should think about introducing more sizes.
